Fun and educational My husband, 9 year old daughter and I spent about an hour and a half here during Spring Break and had a great time. Even my husband said it was better than he expected, and we both learned some things about German immigrants in Texas and the history of Fredericksburg. There were some special activities for Spring Break, so it...

Interesting history of the area The "local color" and history provided by the staff added a lot of interest to the visit.

Gives a true feel for Hill Country life Don't miss this museum if you want to really understand what the settlers endured to make Fredericksburg. I live on an old place myself and it also gave me more understanding of my own place.

Great way to spend a day While in Frederickskburg, stop and spend a delightful, educational, afternoon touring the multiple buildings on the grounds of the Pioneer Museum. Step back in time when the town was founded by Germans. See how they lived. Very interesting tour.

Very well laid out Easy for visiting all the home and barn exhibits. Very interesting and informative. German antiquity at it's best.

Well worth the money The history and buildings in this complex were quite interesting and well worth our money. The friendliness would have been upped a bit, but otherwise good.

Just okay If you only have a little time in Fredericksburg, then I would pass. The first time we went was for St.Nicholas Day and the kids brought their stockings and had then filled up with fruit and nuts. That was fun for the kids. But we have been to a lot of historical villages and this one does not stack up....
