Fun for kids My daughters, 6 and 8, had a great time at this museum. It is a complex of several houses originally located on site and other buildings, including an old schoolhouse, moved from the area to this site. We had a brochure that showed the buildings and our visit was self-guided. Many of the buildings had furniture, decorations and equipment from...

Gives a true feel for Hill Country life Don't miss this museum if you want to really understand what the settlers endured to make Fredericksburg. I live on an old place myself and it also gave me more understanding of my own place.

Great way to spend a day While in Frederickskburg, stop and spend a delightful, educational, afternoon touring the multiple buildings on the grounds of the Pioneer Museum. Step back in time when the town was founded by Germans. See how they lived. Very interesting tour.

Very well laid out Easy for visiting all the home and barn exhibits. Very interesting and informative. German antiquity at it's best.

Well worth the money The history and buildings in this complex were quite interesting and well worth our money. The friendliness would have been upped a bit, but otherwise good.

Just okay If you only have a little time in Fredericksburg, then I would pass. The first time we went was for St.Nicholas Day and the kids brought their stockings and had then filled up with fruit and nuts. That was fun for the kids. But we have been to a lot of historical villages and this one does not stack up....
